Why does my dog have a runny nose?
Why does my dog have a runny nose? I know it's normal for dogs to have wet noses, but my dog's nose is drippy.

My dog gets a runny nose because she has pollen allergies. We got her tested at the vet last year becuase her nose and eyes were all runny. She wasn't super-itchy, so the vet didn't give us anything to give her, but he told us to bathe her regularly with a gentle shampoo and we keep her mostly indoors when the pollen count is high or people are mowing and stuff. now that we pay attention, her symptoms aren't as bad, even though her nose will still get a little runny.

Sometimes runny noses in dogs means a fungal or bacterial infection in their upper respiratory system and the vet has to prescribe meds.

Sometimes its from nasal mites.

It's important to keep your dog in a clean, dry environment. And of course if it's a persistent problem you HAVE to go to the vet or it could be fatal to your dog if left unattended.
