How to tell my dogs skin condition?
My dog has lost all the hair on her back and legs. I think it is from flea bites but am not sure. She bites herself alot and pulls her hair out. could she have some kind of mite or mange problem. I have tried various treatments for her.

You should take her to the vet to rule out mange. I don't know what treatments you've tried, but sometimes itching and hair loss can be a result of food allergies. She also might be having a reaction o the flea treatment. I have a friend whose dog lost a lot of hair as she got old. A supplement that I used on my cat when she lost hair is Solid Gold Seameal. I definitely know that it helps. She used to get bladder infections and lose hair because of stress, but as soon as I started the supplement again, it would start filling in. She's 12 now, and this last time, it didn't come back as thickly, but it still grew back and is really soft.
