treatment for kidney failure in dogs
I'd like to hear what treatment for kidney failure in dogs is usually recommended by people who have been through this. My dog, Lainey, has just been diagnosed.

Honestly, Jody, there isn't any easy treatment for kidney failure in dogs. I had a dog, Apple, who dies from renal failure two years ago. By the time it was diagnosed, it was too late to treat, unless we could afford something like a transplant. Eventually we had to have her out down. It was awful. The kids were so sad.
One of the first symptoms is increases thirst, so if a pet parent notices this, they can get a blood and urine test done right away.
Good luck. It's always difficult and stressful to care for a sick pet.
