What are the benefits of probiotics?
I've heard about probiotics, but I have no idea why they're supposed to be so great, or if they really work. What are the benefits? Does it matter what brand?

They also help improve the nutrient absorption in the intestines so that your pet will get more out of his food or supplements. I'm a big supporter of them because I feel like they promote whole body wellness and can keep my dogs from getting really sick in the first place. I order my probiotics from here because they're high quality, but cheaper than at the local pet store. Everything is overpriced there.

They definitely work. My dog had horrible gas and problems with diarrhea regularly. We changed his food a couple of times and even bought the stuff the vet recommended, which was really expensive. Nothing helped her. Finally, a friend suggested going back to her regular food and adding probiotics. It's definitely helped with her digestion. SHe's not as stinky and she doesn't have diarrhea.

Our vet changed our dog's food too, and it was the same thing: expensive, and it didn't work. We give our dog probiotics and digestive enzymes every day, and they work.
A daily enzymes and prebiotic has been shown to be very effective in helping with your dogs flatulence.

Just read the ingredients and get the one with the least amount of additives.

My dog Luca is in obedience, and when she's going to test, she gets really nervous. Actually, we both do! Probiotics definitely halps to regulate her during this time. It used to be that I'd give her a bath and then probably end up giving her another one on the day of the competition.it was a lot of work, besides being really stressful. Now I start the probiotics about a week before, and then keep using them for a week after. I have definitely seen a big change in her.

They also help with the immune system. It doesn't really matter what brand, and if you're skeptical, I would recommend buying probiotic treats. I mean, you probably give your dog treats anyway, so you're killing two birds with one stone.

DOn't just buy what the vet recommends. They mark everything up so much. With a little research, you'll be able to find the same thing for less mone online.
Raw honey has alot of enzymes, and if you can get it somewhere, is a great alternative.

There's a lot of stuff online about probiotics. Some sites say they help, some say there isn't enough evidence. I would try them out for yourself. My dog had digestive issues too, and I was skeptical, but I didn't want to change his food, etc. They helped a lot, and now I'm a big fan, but they might work differently for every pet.
