How long should my dog take probiocin?
My dog had problem with going to the bathroom, and i started him on this. His symptoms are better now, so I'm wondering if he needs to saty on, or if I can quit giving it to him.

Do you know the reason for his problems? If you don't, I would recommend keeping him on them until you figure it out, or the symptoms might come come back.

Here"s a list of benefits I found. I give them to my dog and cats every day.

  • increased natural resistance to infectious disease in the gastrointestinal tract and a first line of defense against disease
  • prevention of dangerous fungal overgrowth
  • reduction or elimination of some allergic reactions
  • antibiotic action against certain pathogenic bacteria
  • enhanced resistance against viruses
  • optimized digestive processes, allowing maximum nutritional benefit from food
  • improved resistance to toxic bowel problems
  • resistance to diarrhea
  • stimulation of the immune system
  • improved resistance to food poisoning
  • production of needed nutrients, such as vitamin K, one form of which the body itself cannot make
  • improved lactose intolerance conditions
  • reduction of cholesterol levels
  • antioxidants (inhibit the destructive effects of oxidation)
  • improved resistance to stress of all kinds
  • overall improved quality of life and longevity

I started my dogs on daily probiotics, and they seem much healthier now. They used to eat grass and throw up, and they have stopped that behavior, so they're digestive systems are working much better.

I agree, and I would just keep him on them. Probiotics are pretty cost-effective, and they really help with overall health. They help with nutrient-absorption from your pet's food.

Hi Edwin,

That's a really good question! Probiocin is a probiotic and something that can be used on a continual basis to help to maintain gastrointestinal health. Taking the supplement daily will only work to improve your pet's health, it's not like taking another type of medication where taking too much could do harm. You can learn more about Probiocin in the "more information" section of the product page. Good luck :)
