Do dogs ever get full?
I just saw that post about the puppy who won't eat, and I have the opposit problem. My dog never wants to quit eating. She inhales anything put in front of her. Do you think this means there's something wrong with her or that she's not getting something she needs?

It is pretty much bred into dog's genetics to be a pack animal and eat up whatever is in front of them due to their history of never knowing when they will get fed next. Most likely there is nothing wrong with her, but if you notice that she is becoming overweight or sluggish try cutting back on her portions and create set meal times for your dog. As humans we tend to try and keep food around for our dogs all the time, but this is not always necessary.

That depends. Does she eat weird things that she shouldn't? LIke paint from the sides of your hous or dirt from a certain part of your yard? Sometimes when animals eat the same thing like that over and over, it's because they're getting something from it that they don't have in their diet, or it's at least an indicator tht they're lacking some mineral or something. Do you give her a supplement?

She doesn't do anything like that. haha, but I was thinking about giving her some kind of supplement.
I give my pit bull, Luther, a vitamin and mineral supplement every day. He likes the taste of it, and it makes his coat really nice. He doesn't have any problems with overeating.
What kind do you use?
I give her Solid Gold Seameal. It has tons of vitamins and minerals. My sister sells it in her store.
here's a link that has a lot of information on it.

Is she overweight? Maybe she's not getting enough food. I have one dog like yours, and then I have another one who is the complete opposite. He lays down and eats really slowly. He likes treats and stuff too, but he's not always sniffing around, trying to find crumbs on the floor.

the last time we were at the vet, she was the right weight, so she's definitely getting enough food.

Almost every dog would eat unil she explodes, especislly if it's food trom the table. I wouldn't worry about it unles she has other problems too.

If you're worried about her eating too quickly, they sell bowls with plastic shapes in them that make it more difficult for the dog to eat the food really fast.

I wouldn't worry about it. Sounds completely normal to me, especially if the vet says she's a healthy weight.
