Esbilac Liquid Puppy Milk Replacer is a complete food source for puppies who were rejected or orphaned. It can also be used for puppies who are nursing and need supplemental feeding. Esbilac is a complete that is also fortified with vitamins and minerals. The formula is a close match to mother’s milk in protein, fat, and carbohydrates. Esbilac is also highly recommended for growing puppies or adult dogs who are physically stressed and need a source of highly digestible nutrients. It is an ideal supplement for dogs who are pregnant, lactating, or are post-surgery during convalescence. This highly palatable formula is available in a convenient ready-to-feed liquid. It is made with all-natural ingredients in the USA by a company that has set the standard in canine neonatal nutrition for over 70 years, and it doesn't contain any preservatives.

Esbilac Liquid Milk Replacer supplies the necessary vitamins and minerals to ensure proper growth and development in puppies. It contains L-Methionine, which is one of the eight essential amino acids, meaning that it is a necessary building block for proteins and cannot be produced in the body. It is also necessary for the production of creatine, a nutrient that is important for proper muscle function, as well as the entire cardiovascular system. It is an antioxidant and must be ingested through diet and supplements.

This formula also contains L-arginine, which helps prevent cataracts in newborns. L-Arginine also helps maintain the healthy function of many immune system cells, such as lymphocytes, neutrophils, and macrophages.

Esbilac also contains the proper amounts of calcium necessary for puppies. The proper amounts of calcium are of utmost importance while the puppies bones are growing. The bones undergo continuous change, constantly absorbing and depositing calcium into new bone. This formula is also beneficial for older dogs needing extra calcium. As dogs get older, bone breakdown exceeds formation, and can result in bone loss.

Directions:

Ready to feed, no mixing necessary. Shake Well. All puppies should receive their mother’s milk for at least 2 days, if possible. This colostrum milk gives extra nutrition and temporary immunity against some diseases. Esbilac Liquid may be fed at the daily rate of 2 tablespoons of liquid (30 mL) per 4 ounces (115 grams) of body weight. The daily feeding rate should be divided into equal portions for each feeding. Puppies’ needs will vary and this amount may have to be increased or decreased, depending on the individual. Small or weak puppies may need to be fed reconstituted Esbilac every 3 to 4 hours, while larger and/or older puppies do well when fed reconstituted Esbilac every 8 hours. Weigh puppies daily to assure adequate feeding.

Esbilac liquid should be fed at room or body temperature. When a food supplement is desired for growing post-weaned puppies, show dogs and old or convalescent dogs, mix Ebilac liquid into the daily ration at the rate of 2 tablespoons per 5 lbs of body weight.

We used this product on our puppy Sissy, a poodle mix we got at the pound. Her mother had been hit by a car. We weren't exactly sure how old she was, so we decided to use this until she was about 8 weeks old. She took to it pretty well, even though it was hard on us to feed her so often, but it was well worth it. She is healthy and happy and 2 months old now. She's doing really well.
